Dr. McCloskey was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She is the oldest of three sisters raised by two incredible parents. Dr. McCloskey is trilingual, fluent in Spanish, English, and French. From a young age, she had cats, dogs, and horses and loved the connections people made with their animals. Dr. McCloskey received her Bachelor's degree from Marquette University. She attended Ross University to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She later completed her clinical studies at the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing an externship at Grand Montecito Animal Hospital, she knew this was the place she wanted to begin her career as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, serving the Las Vegas community.

Outside of work, Dr. McCloskey enjoys exploring new places, spending time in the mountains or beach, trying new restaurants since she is a "foodie" at heart. She also enjoys going on runs, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends, as well as her German Shepherd mix Benny Boy who ( who was rescued from Puerto Rico) and Pablo, who she got here in Las Vegas.
